11 Wednesdays & Thursdays at 20 o'Clock during the summer of there will be free entertainment at "The Wave" by local actors, choirs, amateurs, Tattoos and likewise. From 11/6 to 20/8 2015.

 

Bølgen, "The Wave" in Svendborg is a beautiful floating bandstand located in Svendborg harbor next to the harbor office. The special wood construction has won several architectural awards, and we are proud to invite guests on "The Wave" to our free events over the summer.

Every Wednesdays & Thursday at 20 o'Clock, June to August will "The Wave" help to create life and atmosphere at Svendborg Harbour, when we give space for entertainment with mostly local actors and artists (chorus, dance and theater shows, many different types music, singalong and more.) With our diversity of people and focus on community we would like to help to tell the story of Svendborg as a place where everyone feels welcome, and we are very pleased, that we will be able to use the amazing area as the Harbour is to contribute to the cultural life of the area.

"The Wave" was launched in 2011 and has since been successfully used for events in the summer to the delight of both sailors, tourists and citizens of Svendborg.

The unique performance space has presented many wonderful experiences and we plan to continue expand "the wave" activities with more and more faceted events.

 

Every Wednesday there is "What's under the keel?" with nature guides from Naturama.

 

There have been about 100 visitors to each event and in addition to theese 1,200,  our programs and posters will reach thousands of sailors and tourists in Denmark and northern Germany.

 

The entertainment will be implemented mainly with the help of the municipality of Svendborg free culture grants.
